I.E.O.A. ECONOMIC OVERVIEW of the Irish Events Industry
The IEOA are involved in performing a review of the industry, the aim being to compile outline statistics regarding the economic contribution that you make to the economy on an annual basis and provide your committtee with a basic starting point for lobbying government and other bodies responsible for maximising the potential for the industry.
The exhibition industry is an "unsung" hero in most economies, generating several billion euro’s of business between suppliers and buyers, between organisers, venues and service industries and even between suppliers themselves at events.

This is an important survey, particularly in the current and foreseeable business climate we believe it is of the utmost importance that we are in a position to exert influence on, or help shape Government thinking on the strategic development of, and support needed for an industry that "silently" generates significant business within the economy.
IEOA GOLF SOCIETY ’re-energised’
Along with David Skinner of Irish Services and Stephan Murtagh of Exhibition Solutions we are looking to see if we can rejuvenate what was once a very active golf society. It is important that the members of the industry have some activities that get them together outside ’normal’ work routines... if you are interested in playing in some of the golf outings, or would like to see your sport or hobby involved at industry level please do not hesitate to contact me on my email at tony.brady@big.ie and we will see if we can generate some interest for it.
VIEWERS NOTE
Obviously there is a lot going on in the industry at any one time so if you have any relevant contribution, it could be a discussion point, your opinion on aspects of the business, or indeed related social events, please email the information to support@big.ie
